I draw using Derwent watercolour pencils but sketch out a rough graphite outline first as I can get carried away once I start using colour.

It is so important to get a good start so you have a good feeling about your work.

I had a good feeling about this one :)




I had a better feeling when I finished.  It is always my aim to learn and improve and I think that is happening. 
Would love your opinion ..... please.

I love the softness you have achieved in the finished work. Do you always start with the eyes? I ask because it's always my starting point - if they look alive then the rest follows (at least that's the idea!)
