Gone some where holly
Bears are cute
Bears are fun
Clay bears arent't for everyone
Some are silver,
Some are gold,
All are hiding under your noes.
Wrap them up tight,
And put them to bed,
Don't let little ones play with them
They can fall,
they can shatter,
Glue and pins, can't mend this matter.
You'll be sad,
You'll be lonely
Clay bears have gone somewhere holy.
As you probably aware or guessed from my other blogs I've started crafting my own jewellery. The main medium I have used is polymer clay. I was out shopping with a good friend of mine when the idea came to me to make clay bear jewellery. That's what I did I went ahead and made some. As I was making them I got a little attached with my creations because they tiny and cute. I felt they should be more personal and special so thought of a poem. Now have many poems. I've collaborated with a writer who goes by Y.B Ellis. The poem above is still in its creative stages however I was too excited to keep it in the creative stage and decided to blog it.
Oh don't worry the bears I have made are very durable and solid material its play on words beacuse the material I have used is called polymer clay and thats why I called them the clay bears. :)
Above little black bear with little pink heart is one of my pieces on a silver plated chain of 16 inches and with a 2 inch extention chain.
Bellow is pink bear and white heart embedded with swarovski crystel rhine stone. again silver plated chain with 2 intch extention chain.
I've opened a new online store called VMD Emporium because I'm not only going to be sell jewellery. I will sell art works too the illustration of 'Gone some where holly' will be in my emporium soon when I get the materials to mount it all nice and lovely. Come visit my etsy store here is the link to find more or see the clay bears. Currently there is 6 bears in total at the moment. Also you can find Wondering Raine Collection too.

Woohoo I've finally made some jewellery. It has been a headache though. (link to last blog the about developing the collection) Trying to find the right materials that would work to sculpt Raine into a pendent. I feel the struggle has been worth it and I'm very happy with how these pieces has developed. I'll keep you posted of any new pieces and new collections as I go along. I will start my online store over the coming weeks, in the mean time here are the first of the collection bellow.
This piece above is made with glass amethyst beads and silver plated findings.
Above is a Leather thong necklace with the same beads above with a silver glass bead to represent the moon in my painting.
This Piece I like to call Raine's Heart. Made with a ribbon and silver plated findings. The heart I made my self with Swarovski Rhine stone embedded into the clay. I'm now off to make my little clay bears another collection I have started. :) Vx

Lets say about two weeks ago I had a conversation with a fellow artist and a good friend of mine, that popped the idea into my head which lead me to proceed with this idea.
Wondering Raine my painting which you maybe familiar from my last blog if not here is the painting of her bellow.
This Idea encouraged me to buy some clay and guess what I decided make jewellery. The first week I researched how to make to it. The second week bought I non-fired clay to make samples. My initial idea didn't start from Raine rather than Sugar Skull Designs which are still in my head and will do in the future. However I was more excited in turning my paintings into a Jewellery design. Which I now gonna go with the slogan 'take with you a mini canvas every where', or something on those lines. Bellow is some quick rough sketches of some designs.
Bellow are the samples of the pedants in non-fired clay before they are painted.
The bellow image was the first design I did out of clay and made it slightly raised too. Before it was painted i was not quite sure about it, that's why i made another pendant with out the raise. The outcome of both pendants, I love and when I finally receive all my new equipment I make both pendents on a necklace unique and different.
Bellow is the flat pendant painted.
I made some smaller designs to be fitted as dangling earrings.
Finally here is the heart set and earring set.
You have no Idea how frustrated I am. I am now waiting on the ordered materials such as clay that can be fired and findings due to the last bank holiday things are moving a bit slower. I can't wait till I can finally get start on the actual collection then hopefully begin to exhibit them along side my paintings. It will be all finished in the precious metal sterling silver findings and I hope my first customer will adore my first handcrafted 'The wondering Raine Collection' jewellery. I'm so excited regardless of the set backs.
