Total Art Soul - for artists

Oh Linda, does that sound familiar. I still have UFO's and I haven't sewn a stitch in five years. Some day I will get back to them. I have over 30 wall hangings in a pile in the guest room. Some made by others from swaps.

I love batiks too. I have a whole shelf of them, I keep them covered with black fabric to keep them from fading. I have one wall hanging that hung outside my office for ten years under the florescent lights and you wouldn't believe the fading. There were some of the black and white fabrics that faded to a ugly brown and white. Who knew...LOL

Well... besides being a soaper, I'm also a body artist (face painter, henna artist) and a lawyer.

Yeah, a lawyer. That's my "day job," actually. Been at it for 15 years. The body art has been part of my life for about 7 years. And the soaps (etc.) for about 8 months.

I'm the owner/operator of a nonprofit corporation, Computers4Quads. I use money from donations and merchandise sales to purchase laptop computers for people who are physically disabled and need a helping hand to improve their quality of life.

thanks for the replies. Assistive technology is easy to find. After all, I figured it on my own. But, I started when I could still use a keyboard. It would be impossible to do without help if I was starting now. A major issue is funding. Disabled people and their caregiivers are often unable to afford to purchase equipment on their own and are not familiar with available resources. I recently received an inquiry from a nurse who cares for three young men who are both quadriplegic and blind! Their fundraiser fell flat flat and without knowledge about funding resources they are dead in the water.

Another issue issue is the type and severity of the disability.. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the idea. Now it's your turn. What is stumble?
