Hey Bonita!
It's interesting to find that so many of us are in the same boat.
I think recently especially, many people's income dropped, but the cost of "services" (and I use that term loosely as I'm so un-impressed with many-cable is a big thorn in my side) went up.
Personally, I'm so sick of the monopoly our cable company has here in San Francisco, and the fact that so many stations which I will never use are "bundled" and therefore part of the hight cost per month, that I'm thinking of cutting cable out and paying for TV through the internet at one tenth of the price.
I feel eventually this is how we will watch TV. Currently I see most of my TV shows free through Hulu and other network web sites.
These I can watch on the lap top or connect to the TV screen.
So as I'm using cable fed stations less, I'm more resentful of the (currently) $90 a month we pay-and it's not even a top tier package.
The single biggest factor I believe in high costs from large corporations we use for our basic services, has to do with the strangle hold monopoly they have on the market-makes me very angry.
P.S. I haven't got around to using it yet but every one recommends Skype for phone/video calls-apparently it's free.
