Hi, I'm Patricia Van Lubeck from New Zealand.
Well ... actually from the Netherlands, but emigrated 5 years ago.

Some people think my work is digital, but it's not. It's done in the old fashioned oil on canvas
I wish I had the skills to do the sketches on the computer, but I still can't find the time to learn the programms (I don't want to find the time, hehe)

Hi Patricia, I like the look of that painting, it's a beautiful composition and just draws you in. As you say it does look like a digitally produced image, you're obviously very skilled with the oils. I'm going to check out your website later, meanwhile welcome...

Hi Patricia and thanks for coming to introduce yourself. I don't think I was the only person to think this was done digitally. Then, to realise it is not just makes it that much more impressive. Your work is so realistic in it's surrealism, if that makes any sense. It's very believable and I find myself immersed in the story. Glad you're here.

Hi, welcome! im a newbie too--but i wanted to say hi--i LOVE that painting--i love the way it draws my eye around in a wave --and it gives my eye the illusion of symmetry--but its asymmetrical! -- o.O how cool is that??

You are not the only one who thinks it's done digitally. I can't deny that I'm influenced by the digital age, but who is not?
With that in my mind, I admire Escher (click). For him the computer would have been a heavenly tool!!!
