You could not upload your image because it was more than 800 high. I have resized it. Here's the image.

Yes, yes, yes! Please can we resume knitting chat
I feel I am a bit lonely here sometimes!

Love the felted bags in your Etsy shop bagsofblessing

I too have a large collection of knitted felted bags. Mine are waiting for linings though and I won't be able to list them until wedding season is over (custom couture dresses are my "day" job) but I'm always excited to see what others are up to.

Here is an image of my latest custom design: a lacy shrug with sleeves, which I conceived for a bridal client of mine who needed a little cover up for her wedding day, to be worn over a 30's inspired fluid gown.

That's really pretty Karin. That stitch looks quite complicated.

Karin,.

That shrug is gorgeous!! I haven't been brave enough to dive in to knitting lace yet. I find that big needles and felting that is so forgivable suits my results driven personality.

Thank you both

Yes that is a difficult pattern to master. it's a Victorian lace from the late 1800's called porcupine stitch and it's reversible, which is great for scarves and shawls but makes it hard to work because it has a strange repeat.

I love knitted lace and it's complexity, but I have to really concentrate more than usual or I make mistakes-there's no way to fix a wrong stitch in lace other than by undoing stitches (or several rows)!
