I love Artfire and have been there since they started. Yes, it takes time to grow and make sales.
My sales have increase somewhat is year and the Artfire staff is wonderful to work with. They keep us up to date on all that they doing to improve the site and bring us buyers! (unlike Etsy, which I had to quit selling on because I was spending more in fees then receiving in sales.)
I have found you have to promote continuously because there is so much competition out there. This is why I love site like this because we can help promote each others arts and craft.
I have a blog, called
Artists and Crafters Supply Community, that I started when I was selling on Etsy. I have three days that I make it available for other artists and crafters to leave links to their products, tutorials, reviews, giveaways etc.
And I promote other sites. See my post today about this site.
It does take time and lots of energy to promote but I work from the home and enjoy it.
I also believe if you like what you do, work hard, and be honest and give great customer service, then you can be a success at it!
