Total Art Soul - for artists

Is anyone else losing track of time like I am? I try to keep up with all of my interests, blog posts, forums, etc... and it just seems that I only have little time to spend doing this. I can't wait until January when I go part time at my career and am able to focus more on my art!
Just joined the International Wire Artists Guild. If there are other wire artists here who would like to join and possibly volunteer to help I know they need it. I am going to start volunteering more of my time soon.
I've got 2 shows left to do this year and I'll be glad when I can relax a bit. Till then it's chaos as usual! Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Stunning work Funkydiva! I'm not surprised you're losing track of time when making these beauties. I agree though, the internet it seems is one huge time leech. It's a constant struggle for me to discipline myself and alot myself a certain amount of time to each task in the day so that I get to be productive.

Good luck with the shows although your stuff speaks for itself.

Sounds like you've already found the answer in January, its always a balancing act, the best advice we can offer is to stop every once in a while and look at everything you're doing, one by one. Periodically, we've dropped a shop or networking site because it just wasnt bringing the results for the effort we put into it, cut out the deadwood and you'll have more time to get stuck into whats left.

Sounds like you're having fun though, which is the most important thing

I work part-time at our local high-school, and was struggling with the whole 'not enough time' issue.
Recently I've stopped looking at it that way. Now it's more along the lines of 'these are the tasks I want to achieve' and if I don't get them done, I've stopped beating myself up about it.
What's surprising is that this approach has helped my creativity.

I so agree. What with having a website, an online shop in various places, twitter, facebook, blogs, and a full time job and shows coming up, Bed seems to be a thing of the past!! Can't wait for the holidays!

I think the key with online stuff is to only do what works for you, be precious with your internet time. Also set out what it is you NEED to do on the internet, do those tasks and then switch the computer off. If I don't follow those rules I end up sitting there all day! lol
