One thing I have to say...and this is funny in a way to me...I get many emails and feed back that my work makes the collector or viewer cry.
Of course, if it is an animal that passed I understand that is so personal to them.
What I find amazing is that it sometimes affects strangers viewing that way too.
Now in my funny mind that could be good or bad. HA!
I think THEY see the message and what it might mean to them and that is good to me.
Maybe if you paint from your soul it just goes into every piece, the message is your own heart. The interpretation is on the viewer's end.
At least that is my hope. You infuse every passage you are doing in a mindful way I think it is built in, that intensity. Or you would have dead art.
I know for myself I can't paint if I am not invested in the work. Even commissions (work not of my own choosing) has to be infused with my imagination as I design the work.
Artists translate what's "out there" to something that is "art" even if it is someone's dog.
