It has been way too long since I was here and it is due to a bad attitude on my part. I had a real crisis of confidence which was due to nothing and I also put art far too far down my list of priorities.
Well, I have changed that and booked a couple of art shows for this year....enough to give me a necessary deadline to work to.
I decided to do a small drawing to warm up first......a little present for my brother-in-law who collects all things sheep.
I took the reference photograph for this shot on a very wet day in the Lake District on the holiday when I got engaged to my lovely husband. It was a horrible day but this sheep seemed to be happy enough and didn't mind the rain at all.
The drawing is done in Derwent Drawing Pencils on recycled paper....still love this combination and will definitely do more this way.
It is good to be back :)
