Following on from my recent Hexagon cloud and Devil, I thought I would share some more 
images that caught my eye. This image on the end of a newly felled tree looks like a fairy or ballerina one way, or an old hag the other!

My first thought was a fairy. I'm more intrigued by how this mark was made though. It looks like a burn mark. This could have been a tree hit by lightning and could be why it was felled. Do you have any more info about it?

Fascinating (seems to be my word of the day...oops) thanks for reminding me to try to pay more attention to the world around me
