Holy moley - it's October! How did that happen? It's obviously an age thing! Remember when you were little and it was forever between Christmases? Now, that space between Christmases is filled with trying to pay for one before the other comes along. To this end I've filled up my diary with Craft Fairs. I love doing Craft Fairs - it's like being paid to people watch.....which happens to be a big hobby of mine. I find people fascinating - especially when you're at the back of a stall. Apparently, in some cases I clean forget that I must have inadvertently donned my cloak of invisibility Harry Potter style and listen incredulously as people give loud opinions on the horrendous goods on my stall (my jewellery is not horrendous by the way, they clearly have no taste....). Sometimes I'm cross-examined - like I've committed some kind of worldwide fraud, have threaded my stones on a strand of hair and finished it with a bit of tin cut from a Heinz Beans can and the whole thing will fall to bits in a nano second. Just to prove it isn't and doesn't here's a sample

(Necklace made from old socks, bits of fluff from the vacuum and finished with a rusty nail taken from the recently demolished garden shed)
However, this week's winner was a lady who came to the stall next to me and exclaimed to her friend, "Look! I've always wanted one of those!" then said to the stallholder "What is it?"...........as they say in these parts, "Owt as funny as folk"!

They really do think we are invisible!
