Your Wednesday WIP

This is a new feature I started on my art blog and on my facebook fan page - the Wednesday WIP.  I post whatever I'm working on, no matter what stage its at. Very intimidating, but forces me to keep works progressing.

I have several biker types who regularly come by my art booth to ask about current works, one in particular wanted to see something with motorcyles.  I asked what he wanted; he said a '47 Harley would be very cool. Now, since I wasn't born in 1947, I had to use a LOT of photos for reference material (so don't anyone give me any grief about using photos!) and came up with this composition. The funny thing is that I am so familiar with these colors. All the record album covers from the Big Band music my mom had had 40's colors and styles and this was TOO MUCH FUN.

I still have more detailing and shadowing to do, but I like the clean, uncluttered "feel" of this. What do you think?  Feedback is always welcomed and appreciated!!

Looks great Jen. You needed to upload a slightly bigger image. It is not possible to enlarge images here on the blogging section like it is on the gallery. smilies/smiley.gif
