Web link to view one of the finished pieces at it's best.

Of course, I've forgotten to add that I then played with one (so far) of the images in Paint Shop Pro X2, which is where the tiled effect comes from.

To view my online sketch book, click here. Thanks for reading Laughing

EDIT Here's more info and links from the iTunes store;

Check out SpinArt in action--search "SpinArt ipod" on YouTube or:

HOW TO USE SPINART
When in "Spin Mode" (the button with the green arrows on the left), swipe your fingers across the canvas to spin at varying speeds. Then switch back into paint mode (the paintbrush button), and choose from a trio of brush sizes and a color from the palette, then use your finger to splat some paint and watch some amazing patterns emerge!

When you're done, go back into Spin Mode, double tap on the spinning canvas to stop it and admire your final artwork! You can then save your creation to your photo library. From there you can email it to friends or set it as your iPhone desktop.

If you've messed up, don't worry! Just shake the device to undo up to the last 5 splats!

It's great for kids too--let them get messy with paint without making a mess! After you save their masterpiece, sync up to your computer, print it out, and hang it on the fridge for all to see.

** ABOUT CANVAS PACKS **

Some users have asked why SpinArt is now offering extra canvas packs for 99 cents. Developing a high-quality app takes a lot of time and money. While SpinArt will continue to get new free features and upgrades (2 new canvases in June, rainbow brush in July), canvas packs are a way to offer extra functionality to fans of SpinArt that are willing to pay a small price. Remember, you purchase a pack once, and you have it forever. Thanks for supporting the continuing development of the original, best, and most creative SpinArt application on the App Store!

This is another in the series of strip designer assisted blogs explaining some of the apps that I use. Previous blog was about Fractals.

My most recent uploads have started life in the Fluid Motion app -

The app store explains -

+ Full resolution, high frame-rate, cutting edge graphics
+ Make your own colour sets, or choose from preset color combinations
+ Low and high level control over field customization + Set of high level options to customize global motion such as speed, randomness, scaling and translations
+ Includes a custom field editor with velocity brush to shape the underlying movement
+ Choose from different brush types
+ Single or dual touch
+ Quick pause - top corners
+ Frame-by-frame viewing
+ Snapshot button saves to 'saved photos' folder
+ Infinite amount of possible variation

There's also a silent video which sheds a little more light on the menu.

To see the final version of the image above click here and you'll go to my gallery.

Thanks for reading. If you want to keep up to date with my digital experiments, subscribe to my online sketchbook/blog.

OK art lovers, this here is an experiment (I've just watched The Closer so excuse any southernisms that may creep in...)

I do much of my artwork lately on an iPad or iPhone (see previous blog entry or my website for why.) and as I think in a visual way I thought I'd try using an app to blog with pictures...

Please let me know if the text on the images below is hard to read and what y'all think of this as a means of blogging. Thank you kindly :)
